Taken from Dr Robert John Thornton's exquisite vision;  'The Temple of Flora', 1807. Widely regarded to be the most sumptuous and detailed of all fine flower books. 

Dr Robert John Thornton(1768–1837) studied at Trinity College, Cambridge. After spending some time abroad he settled in London, lecturing in Medical Botany at Guy's Hospital. 'The Temple of Flora' was his most ambitious work.
